If the world were to end,
And I was alone,
Who would save my soul?
Would another soul, left adrift,
Entertain my own?
If disaster struck,
Who would hold my hand,
Who would calm my restless spirit?
If I cried out in pain,
Would there even be anyone to hear it?
Spirits dwelling in the deepest dark…
Far from what is known as home,
But not so far they can’t be found.
Just far enough to feel alone.
